Dear WBCC members and non WBCC members,

Welcome into the World of Bi-, Tri- and Tetra-metallics. I hope you enjoy reading this week's issue of the WBCC Newsmail.

1. Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club Bi-metallic medallion.... by Jack Helper, WBCC Development Centre
A Bi-metallic medallion has been designed and produced to honor the publication of the Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club Newsmail 1000th Edition.

One hundred of these medallions will be minted by the Penny Press Mint, the President of which is also a member of the WBCC. 
The medallion will feature a brass center showing the WBCC logo on one side and a newly designed legend on the other side that acknowledges the 1000
continuously issued Newsmails.  Specimens of this medallion will be available directly from the minter at a cost of 7.50 US$ including shipping.

2. Bi-metallic 2 Euro from Latvia.....by Pabitra Saha, UK
In the coming years, the Bank of Latvia plans to release the following Bi-metallic 2 Euro commemoratives:
Next year: Bi-metallic 2 Euro CC "Cow".
New Latvian Bi-metallic 2 Euro CC series: "Cultural regions of Latvia" (in development, but one of this coins will be next year)
It consists of four coins:
- 2 euro CC "Vidzeme"
- 2 euro CC "Courland"
- 2 euro CC "Semigallia"
- 2 euro CC "Latgallia"
Dates not known yet.
One more Bi-metallic 2 Euro CC will be dedicated to Latvian municipalities (lat: Latvijas novadi).

3. Bi-metallic 2 Euro 2016 from Ireland.......by Martin Peeters, The Netherlands

-- Remark Max Aiello: This beautiful coin is the first will issued by Ireland as its own commemorative Bi-metallic 2 circulation coin.
4.500.000 pieces of these coins will be put in general circulation next January 2016
The design by Emmet Mullins depicts the statue of Hibernia, the historic personification of Ireland, on top of the General Post Office in Dublin,
the headquarters of the provisional government during the Rising.

4. Bi-metallic 10 Rupee 2015 from India.......by Pabitra Saha, UK
India will issue a Bi-metakkic 10 Rupee 2015 commemorate 125 Anniversary Dr. B R Ambedkar. The release was done on Dec 6

8. Bi-metallic Quiz Game #1009….…by Jack Hepler, USA
Colima is a small state of Western Mexico on the central Pacific coast, with the four oceanic Revillagigedo Islands. Mainland Colima shares borders with the states of Jalisco and Michoacán. In addition to the capital city of Colima, the main cities are Manzanillo and Tecomán. Colima is the fourth smallest state in Mexico and has the second-lowest population, but has one of Mexico’s highest standards of living and lowest unemployment.
A Bi-metallic 100 Pesos dated 2005 was issued showing the Colima Coat of Arms.

WBCC Quiz Game Prize. 
A Bi-metallic prize will be awarded each month. The player who has the most correct answers in a month will be the winner. 
If there is a tie, a random drawing will be conducted to select a winner.  The December prize is a Bi-metallic 2 Dollars of Canada or other suitable coin.

Name at least eight countries, which have produced a Bi-metallic coin, that have a national flag containing a white star on a blue field.

There is an architectural structure in the southern hemisphere that is featured on a circulating Bi-metallic coin of a country in the northern hemisphere. 
Name the structure and the coin on which it is featured.
The structure is the Sydney Opera House in Australia. 
The coin is the Bi-metallic Portuguese 200 Escudos dated 2000 that honors the Olympic Games.
There were only two players in this game.  The winner is Hans Bucek, WBCC member #66.
