Bi-metallic Elvis Presley medal........by Cliff Anderson, USA I've sent to Rod Sell images of a Bi-metallic medallion commemorating the 20th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. It is the size of a silver dollar. The observe is gold colored metal in the center, surrounded by silver colored metal. The center is a picture of a guitar, the number 20, with ELVIS just below it. The words "Still Rockin" show in the center and around the outside of the medallion. On the reverse and in the center is written: "Elvis Presley, one of the greatest figures of twentieth century popular culture, died in 1977, but his legacy lives on and continues to grow with each passing day. His recordings, his movies, his concert films and his mystique continually reach new audiences and new generations of performers and his original fans remain steadfast in their loyality. His presence in the collective consciousness of the world is tremendous, immeasurable. In this milestone year, the twentieth anniversary of his death [1997], Elvis Presley fans around the globe join in special commemoration of the life, art and ongoing legend of a very special man." This piece came from Presley's Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennesee.
