2. Bi-metallic 500 Yen serie from Japan….by Martin Peeters, The Netherlands
Between 2008 to 2016 the Mint of Japan issued a series of 47 coins Bi-metallic type with facial 500 Yen, dedicated to each of the prefectures
that make up the country, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Local Autonomy Law . Promulgated on 17 April 1947, it establishes
much of contemporary local government structures, including prefectures, municipalities and other entities.
