Welcome into the World of Bi-, Tri- and Tetra-metallics. I hope you enjoy reading this week's issue of the WBCC Newsmail.
1. Bi-metallic 2 Euro 2020 from all Euro countries…by Martin Peeters, The Netherlands
Last year it was announced that in 2022 we would once again have a Bi-metallic 2 Euro commemorative of a common type for the "35th Anniversary
of the Erasmus Program", for which the European Commission would organize a design competition, in which all students who at the time the
competition officially started, they were participating in an Erasmus program.
After that first information we had not known anything else until today, in which the Royal Belgian Mint (MRB) announces a design competition for
this coin, for the projects that they will present to the European Commission, Apparently each country will be able to present several and Belgium has
decided that those that they present will be selected from among those that are sent to an email provided for the occasion. By the way, the requirement
to be a student of an Erasmus program has disappeared and now anyone can participate. Probably due to the drastic decrease in students who, due to
Covid-19, are now studying outside their borders.
