1 Bi-metallic token from Australia !! .…….by John Veltmeyer, Australia.

Last week I was walking through a shopping centre when I noticed a
Bi-Metallic token on the footpath, as I picked it up I noticed it
belonged to the amusement parlour that I was standing in front of.
This token is approx. 27mm in diameter has a silver outer ring and
bronze centre, both obverse and reverse are the same and the marking on
it is CITY ENTERTAINMENT TOKEN
I went inside to inquire about the origin of these tokens,
unfortunately, the manager was not available to speak with, but the
attendant gave me a phone No. to call so that I might speak with them
later. He also said the tokens were available to purchase for $1.00 each
and can be used in any of the amusement machines in that establishment.
For the next couple of days I tried to contact the manager then finally
I was lucky enough to speak to her. I explained my reason for the
inquiry only to be told that she didn't know where they came from but
she would ask the owners of the amusement parlour and let me know. After
a few days past I rang her again, her answer was .....We order 30,000
tokens at a time from a Malaysian man who gets them from America.!!!!
So, I am none the wiser as to where these tokens were produced. If
anyone would like to help with its origin, you can view an image of the
token on the WBCC Homepage, courtesy of fellow collector Rod Sell, and
if any member wants to obtain any of these tokens I will go down to the
Amusement Parlour and purchase them for you. They cost $1.00 each plus
postage. My email address is johnv@networkdata.com.au

2 My Visit to The Netherlands by Jack Hepler

What a wonderful time I had in Gouda visiting with Frans Dubois and
Martin Peeters, two giants of the WBCC. Between the two of them, I was
saturated with Bimetallics, errors, tokens, even a few oldies of the Netherlands.
I got a great guided tour of Gouda and Rotterdam; "The biggest harbor in
the world". Later I visited Amsterdam, too. I highly recommend a visit to
the Netherlands. I plan to go back. Next time, I plan to visit the Dutch
Mint in Utrecht.

3 "Big Bimetallic"…….by Frans dubois

This week one of the largest 'bimetallics' was shown to large parts of
Western Europe when the solar eclips was seen in the sky. The
outer-ring of the sun, the so called corona, made me think of a large
bimetallic coin in the sky ……..
