4. The WBCC Bi-metallic Quiz Game #252...by Jack Hepler, USA

Several Bi-metallic coins were introduced in the year 2000 to celebrate the
new millennium. For which country listed below, was this also the first
bi-metallic coin?
a. Australia
b. Finland
c. Singapore
d. Ukraine
Please send your answer to me. The answer will be shown in
the WBCC Newsmail next week.

Answer to Bi-metallic Quiz Game question #251.
A Bi-metallic coin celebrating 100 years of coinage was minted in 1991. The
inscription in the brass core of the coin reads in part, FESSALBIN TOORKY.
Which country issued this very pretty coin?
a. Italy
b. Oman
c. Poland
d. Russia
Answer to Question #251 is "b", Oman.
I am not the only one who found this to be a very pretty coin.
Note: The spelling I had on the question was incorrect. There should not
have been a space between the TO and the ORKY. The correct legend is shown
above; TOORKY.
Summary of answers to Quiz Game Question #250; 100% correct.

5. TWOB update...by Martin Peeters, WBCC Focal Point
he World Of Bi-metallics (TWOB) catalog, issue June will not be published.
The amount of new Bi- and Tri-metallic issues are very low the past 2
mounths. So the next issue of TWOB will be August 1st.
