Now some History about the World Money Fair

Coin Fair, European Coin Show – World Money Fair The world money fair is
internationally recognized as the most prestigious coin show of its kind.
The first international coin fair in Switzerland took place in Basel and was
found in 1972. For the first ten years it was a purely classical show for
coin collectors. The participation of the first state mint (Royal Canadian
Mint) as show exhibitors in 1981 marked the beginning of a successful
development from a coin fair to the European coin show and finally to the
World Money Fair.

The World Money Fair has for some years been the meeting place for the World
leading specialists for coin producing with over 200 exhibitors from 38
countries and all 5 continents. Today´s image of the World Money Fair is
characterised by the classical numismatic fair and the participation of the
leading state and private mints, suppliers and whole sale dealers. It may be
said, that the synergy effect between classical and modern is nowhere more
apparent than at the World Money Fair, the specialist fair for the
international gold, money and coin market.

The world leading coin producers present at their stands their latest coin
issues. They also show that coins do not necessarily have to be round and
introduce the latest innovations and designs. Leading state and private
mints, coin blank producers, precious metal refineries, providers of coin
striking, packaging and die making systems, whole sale dealers, distributors
and marketing specialists make this show the number one event for the money
market world wide
