2. Bi-metallic Euros from Manuel González, Spain

This week I phoned to Servei Emisions of Andorra (Andorra Mint) and asked about future Euros from Andorra. They said me that Andorra actually issue Diners and not Euros. In this days Andorra Mint issued a new commemorative gold 25 Diners. I asked if they will issue Euros in the future and said me that maybe in the future..., but at the moment the laws of Andorra force to emit currencies in Diners. Andorra is a country that issue agreement currencies with many German mints and can in the future issue Euros like in the cases of San Marino, Vatican and Monaco. This is what they told me for telephone, but they don't still know anything.

Austria chose to produce a series of Euro coins illustrating flowers, architecture and famous people from its history. The designs were chosen by a national panel and public opinion poll. Austrian artist Josef Kaiser created the designs. The Bi-metallic two Euro coin shows a portrait of the radical pacifist Bertha von Suttner, symbolizing Austria’s efforts over many decades, to support peace. Answer to Bi-metallic Quiz Game question #280.
The Italian Bi-metallic one Euro – features a drawing called the Vitruvian man based on a study of human proportions. The drawing, not dated but probably was made in 1490 AD, and may be found in the Gallerie dell' Accademia di Venezia. The artist was born in the Republic of Florence in 1452 and died 2 May 1519. He was simply a genius: painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, and engineer. His Mona Lisa and the Last supper were among the most influential paintings of the Renaissance, while his spirit of scientific inquiry and mechanical inventiveness were centuries ahead of his times. What is the name of this coin’s designer?
a. Dali
b. Da Vinci
c. Bottacelli
d. Rembrandt
Answer to Question #280 is "b" Da Vinci. Note: The quiz Question last week stated that Da Vinci was born in 1490. This is obviously in error, the actual date of birth is believed to be 1452. Summary of answers to Quiz Game Question #279; 100% correct. four players. You may be able to see the answer to many future questions in earlier Newsmail issues.C
