3. WBCC Encased Project ... by Rod Sell, Australia

The WBCC program to encase all the Euros is now nearing completion. We have now encased the Euros of 14 of the issuing States and Countries with only the Vatican not being encased because of cost.

Those members who have requested Euros with all dates issued into circulation are just waiting on the 2002 Euros of France and Finland. Some members are still waiting on German Euros with D mint mark to complete their German series. Full details of this program with images of all the encased euros can be seen at: Encased Euros.

We will encase the 2003 euros when they become available and also future years. Will members in the euro countries please advise me when the new euros become available.

Our next project which has been announced before, is to encase all 15 Thailand 10 baht bi-metallics. The standard issue is the 2002 dated 10 baht. Also all 14 commemorative issues will be encased. The cost of this project is USD$7 per coin or US$100 for the full set of 15 different coins.

Our project after, is to encase all the US State Quarters. A page has been set up for this project and can be seen at: Encased US Quarters. For those who are not aware of the US State Quarter program. The US Mint commenced releasing US quarters for each State at the rate of 5 per year for 10 years. The States are selected in the order they joined. The issue commensed in 1999 and will finish in 2008. Quarters were produced at both the Philadelpia (P) Mint and Denver (D) Mint, thus with mint marks there are 10 coins each year. We will be encasing them a year at a time at a cost of US$6.50 per coin. Orders are being accepted now. Just email me: Rod Sell to register your interest, so that we can ensure we have sufficient coins.
