2. World Money Fair Basel Pre-report (4) ... by Martin Peeters, WBCC Focal Point

This is the fourth Pre-report of my attending to the World Money Fair in Basel in 2 weeks time. The programm looks at follows:

First launching of new coin issues and technical innovations from the coin
producing front from all over the world. Presentations are in English.
* Opening Ceremony
Town Hall, Reception by the Government, dinner at the Restaurant 'Zur
Safranzunft‘

Date: 01.Feb.2003 International coin show, Entry fee CHF 10.
* Convention Centre Messe Basel 9am – 5pm
Buying and selling of coins, medals, paper money of all periods and
countries.

3. Bi-metallic message from a member ... by Mário Baptista, Portugal

I thank all WBCC members who did contact me. As been difficult to find a buyer for the whole collections, excepting my US encased 1 cent. My thanks for our companion Mr. Rod Sell. I am now acepting want-lists for my coins. For those who did not receive my list, please e-mail me: Mário Baptista and those who have it please e-mail me again with your want-lists (except those who did it). Greetings and long life for all members.

Saw in RCC Newsgroup: Portugal 1 Euro variation.

5. Bi-metallic Swiss 5 Frank 2003 Proof ... by Massimiliano Aiello

Only to inform you that also this year Swiss Mint will struck 700 pieces in ESSAI-PROVA of the Bimetallic 5 FR. 2003 coin. The 2003 5 FR. "Chalandamarz" will be the third Essai bimetallic coin after the 1999 5 FR. "Fete de Vignerons" and the 2002 5 FR. "Escalade".

6. Bi-metallic Car Wash Tokens ... by Michael Ayrapetov, USA

I found in "The Fare Box" of December 2002 information about another 2 New Bimetallic Car Wash tokens of USA:
* Salina, Kansas. KS 880 E. Green Lantern Car Wash. Self Service Car Wash. No Cash Value (cartoon auto under spray and scrubber). 25 mm White Metal * Ring, 16 mm Brass Center. Reeded edge.
* Unidentified 533. One Dollar Car Wash token. No cash value. NORTHERN PRIDE (2 birds). Mint Mark RWM - Roger Williams Mint. 23 mm White metal ring, 8 mm Steel center.
