6. Bi-metallic 10 Pesos from Uruguay........by Benjamin Muniz, Spain
According a Webpage of the Central Bank Of Uruguay (http://www.bcu.gub.uy/autoriza/sgoioi/com030904moneda.htm) , they will issue on September the 18th the new Bi-metallic 10 pesos.
Obverse: Portrait of Jose Artigas, year of birth and death. Date of minting 2000. Artigas was the 'libertador' of Uruguay defeating the Spanish Crown in 1813 and claiming Independency.
Reverse: Denomination '10 pesos uruguayos' , Artiga's signature, and the legend "Sean los orientales tan ilustrados como valientes / Orientals as much ilustrated as brave". See the atachment for the coin pictures.

a. Lion.

A Bi-metallic prize will be awarded to a member who correctly answers the WBCC Quiz Game this week (#422). If more than one member gets the correct answer, a random drawing will be conducted to select a winner. The winner of a Thai Bi-metallic coin Prize (WBCC Newsmail #420) is Keith Beaumont, (WBCC member #190).
