2. Bi-metallic coin of 500 Escudos from Portugal (Correction)...by Joaquim Sabino, Portugal
About last week WBCC Newsmail article about a "new" ringed bimetallic from Portugal. I checked the Krause catalogue (last edition, the 32th). There is an error. KM705a is in fact a 1998 500 escudos bimetallic made with gold and silver, but is lamelar,
not ringed, although the description on Krause catalogue refers it as ringed. There is no doubt about this.

3. Bi-metallic 1 Tl from Turkey...by Wolfgang Schuster, Austria
As the new bim. 1 TL with face value of only some 60 Eurocent found their
way into euroland coin machines because of their 2 Euro specificaitons,
turkey has now minted a second strike, which is 0.2 or 0.1g lighter in
weight, so the machines will not accept them again. I just got a few of
them, so I can confirm that they are released.

4. Bi-metallic Hong Kong $10 1997 Lantau Bridge in a folder......by Joaquim Sabino, Portugal
I found at a coin dealer in Portugal several BU Hong Kong $10 1997 (Lantau Bridge) in a nice presentation folder inside a stamped cover. An image of this folder can be seen at the image library of our wbcc page. I think price is very interesting: 4.00 EUR ($5.00). I’m available to supply any wbcc member in a non-profit basis. But consider postage (air mail) : Europe 1.20 EUR ($1.50), Rest of the World 1.80 EUR ($2.30). Contact me at jjmsd@netcabo.pt if you are interested.
