2. Interesting book with also Bi-metallics listed...by Cecil Starcher, USA
I ran across this article and though it just might be of interest to our members;
KP Books has recently released the long-awaited fourth edition of Unusual World Coins.
This book is the classic guide to those mysterious coin issues from the realms of Fantasy, the borders of Micro-Nations, the halls of Exiled Royalty, the shady backrooms of imitators, the creative minds of numismatic promoters and the shores of islands as yet undiscovered.
This new edition lists more than 9,000 varieties of numismatically unusual items. Each entry contains as much detailed information as possible, plus accurate up-to-date value. Thousands of images round out the package, making Unusual World Coins not only an indispensable reference to the untraditional, but also one of the most exciting books you may ever add to your numismatic library.
The book comes from the KP Book numismatic staff, with Colin R. Bruce II, Tom Michael and George Cuhaj, editors.
The 8-1/2 x 11 book is perfect bound, softcover and 515 pages, in addition to 32 pages of introductory charts, indexes and helpful information. The book retails for $39.99 ($59.99 CAN), plus $4 shipping and handling.
The book can be ordered from KP Books by calling toll free at (800) 258-0929; mail, P.O. Box 5009, Iola, WI 54945-5009; online,

3. The WBCC Bi-metallic Quiz Game #469...by Jack Hepler, USA
Slovakia has released a Bi-metallic coin featuring a bird. This is a bird of open plains and desert-type habitats, breeding in middle Europe eastward into Asia. Bold and ferocious, it has been known to attack prey much larger than itself.  Measuring about 18 inches, it breeds from Slovakia and the Hungarian plains eastwards beyond Lake Baikal through Asia Minor to India. Canadian Raptor Conservancy has been involved in a variety of different research projects related to Birds of Prey. They have also been involved in educating the public on the importance of the survival of the species and preserving its natural habitat. Their efforts include a project to help restore this endangered bird to the Republic of Slovakia. What kind of bird is this?
a. Eagle.
b. Falcon.
c. Sparrow Hawk.
d. Snowy Owl.
