1. The WBCC at the WMF 2006 in Berlin (Part 2) Martin Peeters, WBCC Focal Point
The WBCC would like to thank Schuler Presses and the Portuguese Mint for their sponsorship attending the WBCC the Berlin World Money Fair,on the 3rd to 5th February 2006.

The following WBCC members will be at the WBCC booth for all the fairdays: Max Allieo (Italy), Frans Dubois, Eelc Soeteman, Martin Peeters (Netherlands) and Alexei Malykh (Russia).
The following WBCC members will for sure visit the WBCC Booth: Gerhard Schon (Germany), Wolfgang Schuster (Austria), Wouter Beerenkamp (Netherlands)
The highlight will be February 4th, Saterday evening, we will have a "WBCC meeting" with a cosy dinner (Going Dutch !)

2. The WBCC at the ANA 2006 in Denver, Ray Lockwood, WBCC Focal Point ANA Conventions
The WBCC will be reprented at the this years ANA. This is general announcement to ALL our members regarding the ANA meeting for WBCC at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 18, 2006 in the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, USA
To secure and advertise this meeting of our WBCC, we must pay our ANA dues. I am willing to again make the payment IF others would contribute.toward the $36.00 dues. My E-mail adress is: if you want to send a donation, thanks !

6. Bi-metallic 10 Roubles 2007 from Michael Ayrapetov, USA
In "Commemorative and Investment Coin's Issue Plan for 2007" of the Central Bank of Russia I found 8 Bi-metallic 10 Roubles coins 2007: XII. The Series "Ancient Russian Towns": 39. Vologda; 40. 7. Bi-metallic 2 Euro 2006 from Frans Dubois, Netherlands
Finland will issue a third commemorative 2 euro in the second half of 2006. This will be for the fact that Finland will be president of the EU. Further news will be available probably in Berlin.
8. Bi-metallic from the African Mint....byAntonio Barrena Mateo, Spain
The African Mint (http://www.africamint , and not an official Mint)) did issued several new Bi-metallic Non Legal Tender coins:

9. Bi-metallic Fantasy Euros (1) Jose Luis Ramirez, Spain
A new Euro fantasy set with Bi-metallics. This time about the EU Enlargement. The reversese were used in other sets of these kind of coins.
10. Bi-metallic Fantasy Euros (2) Jose Luis Ramirez, Spain
These are two new Bi-metallic Euro Fantasy coins.
One of them is from Monaco, the other coin is from Vatican City "Sede Vacante". The reverse is the same for the two coins.
11. Bi-metallic Fantasy Euros (3) Jose Luis Ramirez, Spain
I have obtained these new two set from Vatican City with Bi-metallics.
The both sets shows the face of Benedict XVI, common reverse. One of them is dated 2005, the folder have the title of  "Habemus Papam" The second one  folder is dated 2006 and are titled "Urbi et Orbi". The mintage for each set are 5.000 folders. There are 3.000 folder with the 2 Euro coin of each set.

The second series Bi-metallic 100 Pesos of Mexico that was issued for the State of Baja California has the image of an endangered species of animal. Which animal is shown on this coin?

Answer to Bi-metallic Quiz Game question #493
The first Bi-metallic coin issued for circulation by San Marino, was a 500 Lire dated 1982.  The coin is titled Social Conquests and honors the FAO. It features two figures apparently planting seeds and a tractor. The steel ring contains the date, value and two images of a plant. What is the plant?

A Bi-metallic prize will be awarded to a member who correctly answers the WBCC Quiz Game this week. If more than one member gets the correct answer, a random drawing will be conducted to select a winner. There were 12 players in game #492 and the winner was Yossi Barzelay WBCC member #72.
