As you know I started my trip to China june 12th. When I arrived in the Novotel
in Beijing there was a note for me at the frontdesk. The note was from WBCC
member Li Tiesheng from China who lives in Beijing. The note say: "please
contact me on my mobile and we will meet this evening". And indeed that evening
I had indeed a meeting with Li and WBCC member Ms. Xiao Tong and 2 of Li's
friends; Introducing them:
Mr. Li Tiesheng, not a collector, not a dealer, a so- called enthusiastist
for advocating and introduing of foreign numismatics after retiring from
Mechanical profession. As a visiting scholar in UK and a traveler in Europe,
speak bad English.
Ms. Xiao Tong, an avid collector of Bi-metallics, we visited her home and
enjoyed her collection.
Mr. Chu Xia, an famous dealer of foreign coins in Beijing, also Bi-metallics.
Mr. Li Zhidong, deputy general secretary of the Beijing Numismatic Society,
an officer. His speciality is Chinese historical coinage, but also knows
some about Bi-metallics
We had a very nice Chinese dinner with roasted Duck, very tastefull
After dinner we visted Ms. Xiao Tong home and enjoyed her collections of
Bi-metallics and a very nice cup of Chinese tea.
I really want to thank all you Chinese folks for the wonderfull evening !!
One off the many the trips I did do in China was climbing the Big Wall.
