2. Possible new bimetallic from Hungary . . . by Jack Hepler, Gabor Toth, Frans Dubois & Hans Bucek
Hepler:
The attached image was sent to me by Gabor Toth, WBCC #80.  I am trying now to ascertain if it is a true ringed Bi-metallic or a plated coin.  I see that most 5000 Forint coins of Hungary are silver so this one may be silver with a plated rim.
Gabor:
I have browsed the latest issue of TWOB57, and I not find the following Hungarian Commemorative Coin of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
Dubois:
I am not sure if it's a bimetallic or plated coin. To me it seems ringed but from the picture I can't see it. I also never saw this coin before.... I think the only one who can tell you is Gabor.
Bucek:
There is no 5000 Forint Bimetallic issue to commemorate the 1956 revolution.
There is a special set for  that event containing:
50 Ft Copper nickel
500 Ft banknote
5000 Ft silver 925 with gold coloured rim (not bimetallic) ... the one in question
100000 FT gold 986
The price of the set is about 550 Euro, koeszoenni (regards in hungary)

9.  Administrative note and apology --- Cliff Anderson
In preparing today’s newsmail, I’ve discovered that my newly installed software (Microsoft Vista) will not allow pictures to be attached or sent by email.  And I didn’t have enough time to have this corrected before the newsmail’s deadline.  I apologize in not being able show those images.  I hope to have it corrected soon.
So, for this time, as Rod Sell indicates, please use the link to see the various images:
