1. Bi-metallic 5 Hryven 2007 from Ukraine...by Michael Ayrapetov, USA
On November 7, 2007 the National Bank of Ukraine issued for circulation new Bi-metallic 5 Hryven coin in series "Folk Musical Instruments" BUGAY (BULL). URL of images and Ukrainian language text is:

2. Bi-metallic 25 Euro 2008 from Austria...by Martin Peeters, Netherlands
The Austrian Mint announced that the 25 Euro 2008 (Nb/Ag), commemorate Facsination Light, will be issued March 12, 2008. 65.000 pieces will be struck. No picture available now
The annual 2008 UNC Mint set issue date is: May 9, 2008, 50.000 pieces
The Annual 208 Proof set, issue date is: October 10, 2008, 15.000 pieces

4. Visiting a Coinshow.......by Martin Peeters, WBCC Focal Point
This Sunday November 11th, I will visit an International coinshow together with Frans Dubois in the Belgium City Tienen. It is called "Numismatica Tienen" and many International coindealers (from Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and more) will attend the show. So maybe we can meet some WBCC members.
 
5. The WBCC Bi-metallic Quiz Game #587.......by Jack Hepler, USA
Zambia issued a series of Proof Bi-metallic coins honoring Chinese Generals. This 10-coin series shows the Coat of Arms on the coin reverse. The coat of arms symbolizes much of the country's wayof life with wavy lines symbolizing the famous Victoria Falls. A hoe and pick represents the labors of the people in agriculture and mining. The man and woman symbolize the Zambian family. A corn cob, the mine shaft and zebra, symbolize natural resources- -agriculture, minerals, game, and the land. The coin shows the national motto--"One Zambia, One Nation". What creature shown on these coins symbolizes the freedom and spirit of the Zambian people?

A Bi-metallic prize will be awarded to a member who correctly answers the WBCC Quiz Game this week. If more than one member gets the correct answer, a random drawing will be conducted to select a winner. There were nine players in game #585 and the winner was Gabor Toth WBCC member #80.
