Dear WBCC members and non WBCC members,
Welcome into the World of Bi, Tri and Quad-metallics. I hope you enjoy reading
this week's issue of the WBCC Newsmail.

1. WBCC members meet....by Cliff Anderson, USA
WBCC members Cliff Anderson and Michael Ayarpetov met recently at Michael's residence in suburban Providence, RI.  Michael proudly showed off his extensive collection of bimetallics, and since he specializes in bimetallic car wash tokens, he had many such bimetallics from both the US and Europe.
Michael described his background as an Armenian refugee from Azerbaijan, who after emigrating to the USA in the early 1990s, obtained his naturalized US citizenship. He is a mathematician, poet and musician; he entertained Cliff with several keyboard pieces, including an Armenian folksong. He was also a former officer in the Armenian Numismatic Society. He was collecting bimetallics before coming to America, me of which Cliff had never seen before.
In addition to caring for his elderly mother along with his two brothers, Michael also does extensive numismatic research in local libraries.
Though he has been in email contact with many other coin authorities and WBCC members over the years, Michael said that Cliff was the first member he has actually met personally.
