Welcome into the World of Bi, Tri and Quad-metallics. I hope you enjoy reading
this week's issue of the WBCC Newsmail. 

1. Bi-metallic Fantasy Euro's from Cyprus....by Jose Luis Ramirez, Spain
I have obtained a set of Euro Fantasy Euro from Cyprus, dated 2006. The 1 and 2 Bi-metallic has a value of 1 Xeros and 2 Xeros.
 
2. Bi-metallic Fanttasy Euro's from Austria....by  Jose Luis Ramirez, Spain
I have obtained this Bi-metallic fantasy Eurofrom Austria. The coin are from a set of eight legal tender Euro coins from Austria, several dates from 2002 to 2006. Mintage 50.000 sets.

3. Bi-metallic from ECB......by Frans Woons, Canada
The British firm “Chard” (dealers in coins, medals, precious stones, etc.) has for sale a Bi-metallic medal issued to commemorate the introduction of the Euro. The specifications of this piece are as follows: Overall diameter is 50.27 mm. Weight of the 0.925 fineness silver ring is 48.4 grams. Diameter of the 0.750 fineness golden plug is 18 mm.  Weight of the golden plug is 7.4 grams. Resulting in a total weight of 55.8 grams. The medal shows on the obverse the names of the national banks involved and the €  (Euro) symbol. The reverse shows a globe with Europe shown in greater detail and the date 1.6.1998 (1st of June 1998).  Its mintage is unknown. The price of this medal is on request.

Tristan da Cunha issued a Bi-metallic 25 Pence dated 2008. The English Queen Elizabeth II appears on one side of this beautiful coin. What species of sea creature appears on the other side?
a. Star Fish
b. Porpoise
c. Shark
d. Whale
The correct answer for question #608 is b; Porpoise.

WBCC Quiz Game Prize
A Bi-metallic prize will be awarded for the correct answer. If more than one member gets the correct answer, a random drawing will be conducted to select a winner. There were seven players in game #607 and the winner was Michael Ayrapetov WBCC member #8.
