1. New WBCC member.......by Martin Peeters, WBCC Focal Point
We have a new member. Let me introduce him to you:
Name: Heikki Hemmilä (WBCC member #461), Finland
Age: 53
Profession: medical doctor
Hobby: World coins including Bi- and Tri-metallics
Goal: slowly expand the collection to as many countries as possible and as
complete as possible. Special interest different metals of circulating
and commemorative coins.
Against: bad swappers, greedy mints (including Finland)
How did I know about the WBCC: from meeting Wolfgang in Vienna
2. Bi-metallic 5 Pesos 2008 from Dominican Republic...by Paul Baker,
UK
From a holiday maker - today I got this piece Bi-metallic 5 Pesos 2008. The
design is different to 2007 on both sides (easiest way to tell is the larger
portrait, on the coat of arms has slight differences in shading etc... )
Also.. the 2008 piece is not attracted to a magnet, the earlier pieces
are all attracted to a magnet. So for 2008 perhaps the centre is a different
steel or perhaps it is a Copper-Nickel compostion.
3. Bi-metallic 5 Ecu 1995 from Ierland...by Martin Peeters, Netherlands
I saw in Ebay 2 Bi-metallics 5 Ecu 1995 St. Patrick from Ireland. I dind't
know there were 2 different pieces. I don't know if it means anything, but
the seller is from China.

have this catalogue) under number 35.
Gerhard Schoen, Germany
This piece is listed as S#X301 listing is from "ECU Katalog Muenzen und Medaillen".
It should be Ring: Cu 65 / Zn 22 / Ni 13, Center: Cu 85 / Zn 15.
Mint was Valcambi SA in Switzerland,
Issued by Coin Invest Trust, Liechtenstein.
Andrzej Kasprzycki, Poland
