2. WBCC at the Open Day Royal Dutch Mint...by Martin Peeters, WBCC Focal
Point
The WBCC will be represented with its own booth at the 'Open Day' of the
Royal Dutch Mint by Frans Dubois and Jean Verleg. The Open Day is on
Saturday June 13 in Utrecht, The Netherlands http://en.knm.nl . So if you

3. Bi-metallic Medallion...by Jack Hepler, USA
The Dogwood Village of Orange County governing board has approved a
Bi-metallic medallion for the Grand Opening of a new Assisted Living
Facility.  The facility will augment the existing campus formally known
as the Orange County Nursing Home.

The design shows the Dogwood Village logo and slogan on one side and
"Helping Hands" and theme on the other side.  The plan calls for minting
One Thousand bi-metallic medallions for presentation at the Grand Opening
in August or September, 2009.  An etched "Proof" of this medallion may be

4. Bi-metallic Quiz Game #669...by Jack Hepler, USA
The week continues the quiz series called, "Whose Face". Whose face
appears on the 1997 Bi-metallic One Peso of Argentina?

Whose face appears on the Bi-metallic Jordanian Half Dinar dated CE2000
(AH 1421)?
The correct answer to Bi-metallic Quiz Game question #668 is His Majesty
King Abdullah II of Jordan. Abbreviations of the title were accepted.

WBCC Quiz Game Prize
A Bi-metallic prize will be awarded for the correct answer. If more than
one member gets the correct answer, a random drawing will be conducted to
select a winner. The #667 Quiz Game winner is Allen Kwon, WBCC member
#472.  There were seven players in this game, all of whom had the correct
answer.

5. The Super Quiz Question #004...by Jack Hepler, USA
One of the most beautiful Bi-metallic coins consists of a copper plated
steel ring around a brass plated steel center.  It was introduced in
Europe as a circulation issue in 1993.  What architectural feature is
incorporated on this coin?  Where is this located and what is Nepomuk?

Answer to Super QQ #003
The Tree of Life is portrayed on the Bi-metallic one and two Euro of
France.  How many leaves are shown on the Tree of Life and what is the
significance of that number?  Give the designer’s name and nationality.

a. There are 17 leaves on the French Tree of Life.
b. The designer is Joaquim Jimenez
c. The nationality of the designer is French.
d. The 17 leaves are for the seventeen articles in the 1789 Declaration
of the Rights of Man and of the Citizens.

There were eight players but only one who had the completely correct
