The Supporting Program of the World Money Fair During the world’s biggest coin fair that will take place
January 29 to 31, 2010 in Berlin, exhibitors and visitors will be
offered a top-class supporting program of events. Already one day before the official opening of the fair,
i.e. on January 28, 2010, you are invited to the 4th Berlin auction
held by the renowned auctioneers Fritz Rudolf Künker in the room
Estrel, where first-class numismatic objects and collections will be on
offer. For detailed information about the schedule of this special
event, please see our “fair schedule” section or visit www.kuenker.de. Also on January 28, 2010 the specialist conference of the Technical Forum will take place. At this forum, reserved for
international experts, engineers, suppliers and production partners
exchange experiences and ideas on advanced technical solutions and coin
production processes. Registration is open now for interested experts
from mints or the industry. On the opening day of the World Money Fair, leading
international mints present their current coin programs at the Media Forum. Collectors and interested visitors are welcome to this
event. Lectures will be held in English. Further attractions, such as the launch of the fifth German two-euro commemorative coin as well as numerous special promotions and lotteries organized by exhibitors, will round off the program of events. In addition, the Berlin Coin Cabinet will again invite visitors to browse through their interactive coin catalog. Encased 2009 US Territorial quarters....by Jack Hepler, USA
The Penny Press Mint will be encasing the 2009 US Territorial quarters. There are six designs in the series and two mintmarks, P (Philidelphia) and D (Denver). The ring will be of copper and the ring design will be the same as the one used for the WBCC 10th Anniversary. A complete set would be comprised of 12 pieces.
