7. Bi-metallic 500 Pesos 2002 from  Columbia...by Frans Woons, Canada
Here you will find scans of another Bbi-metallic error coin I have bought on eBay.
This is a Columbian 500 Pesos coin dated 2002.  I think the ring was faulty before the plug was inserted and the planchet was struck.  The ring seems to be mangled near the last 0 in 500.  It is also twisted outwardly.  There the ring is very narrow and thin.  The coin was struck largely within the collar and the dies have the normal coin alignment.
I’ve also created a backlit image showing that this coin is of the “see through” type.
