1. Bi-metallic 2 Euro 2010 from Finland....by Jacek Stącel, Poland

Finland announces a new series of Bi-metallic coins. Historical provinces of Finland

Face value: 5 Euro
Material: Bi-metalllic: CuNi / NG
Diameter: 27.25 mm

Provinces:

* Åland
* Häme
* Karelia
* Lapland
* Ostrobothnia
* Satakunta
* Savo
* Uusimaa
* Finland South - West

In 2010 will be issued the first two Bi-metallics in the series: Finland South and west and Satakunta.

 
2. Bi-metallic 5 Pesos 2010 from Mexico (1)....by Antonio Barrena Mateo, Spain

New Bi-metallic coin from Mexico. Emiliano Zapata $5.

The consistency of the struggle and agrarian principles of Zapata, in line with the demands and aspirations of the rural communities of central and southern of the Republic, have given this a predominant leader in the history of Mexico.

Home wrestler agrarista of the Mexican Revolution. At the outbreak of the Madero revolution joined the movement, but the more dissatisfied the agrarian demands of the peasants of Morelos, Puebla, Mexico State and Federal District issued the Plan de Ayala and jumped again to armed struggle. The Monetary Authority of Singapore launched the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Commemorative Coins today.
The $2 Bi-Metal Brilliant Uncirculated Coin features the symbol of the Singapore 2010 emblem on the Aluminium-Bronze core. The YOG mascots, Lyo and Merly, and the distinctive Olympic rings are also featured in vibrant colours. Brilliant uncirculated condition. Mintage of 30,000 pieces.

9. WBCC Super Quiz #17...by Jack Hepler, USA

At least 39 African countries have issued Bi-metallic coins. Some are plentiful but some are very hard to find. There are commemoratives, pattern pieces and coins issued for circulation. Several countries have issued a Bi-metallic coin with the value of 10. Which of these African countries is/are landlocked?

Answer to WBCC June Super Quiz #16
When the Euro coins were launched in 2002, optional edge lettering was authorized. Most countries incorporated a series of designs for the edges including stars, country names, ornaments or value. Which country created Bi-metallic edge designs that were NOT country name, ornaments, value or stars? What was the inscription on the Bi-metallic 2 Euro of that country and what does it say in English?

The correct answer is in German: "EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT".
In English: "UNITY AND JUSTICE AND FREEDOM".
