8. Bi-metallic 2 Pound 2011 from Great Britain…….Pabitra Saha, UK
The Royal Mint has announced that it will release six commemorative coins in 2011. This year the commemorative coins will be two GBP2 coin designs as well as two GBP1 coins, a 50p coin and a GBP5 crown.
These new commemorative coins celebrate key events in British history and royal life: the first voyage of the Mary Rose, the 400th anniversary of the King James' Bible translation into English, the 50th anniversary of the WWF and Prince Philip's 90th birthday.

Some Mint do this, one doesn’ t untherstand. Like The Royal Dutch Munt with the new Bi-metallic 2 euro 2011 Erasmus.
The distribution program of the Bi-metallic is in several conditions/quality is very strange: Look at this:
500 pieces were sold at the World Money Fair in Berlin
500 rolls (of 50 pieces each) will be sold in coinpakkets at the Open Day of the Mint in June
10.000 pieces in BU quality in coincards
2.000 pieces in Proof quality in capsuls
3.500.000 pieces will be mixed in the normal rolls with other regular 2 Euro pieces.
