It was reported that in 2010, researchers expecting to find 12 sets of remains actually found 14 sets in urns holding the heroes of Mexico's 1810-1821 independence movement. Experts who spent more than two months studying the skeletal remains, said all 14 were determined to belong to patriots of the war. One of the “unknown heroes" turned out to be Victor Rosales.
