1. WBCC at the Open Day of the Royal Dutch Mint….by WBCC Focal Point
Next week, Saterday 18th, the Royal Dutch Mint will held as every year the Open Day. The WBCC will be present with it’ s own booth. You can meet Frans Dubois and Martin Peeters if you want to talk about Bi-metallics. So maybe: See You Next Week.

Norway has released a classic set of coins for circulation with the Bi-metallic 10 kronen 2011

Here are the 5 finalists of the Commemorative Bi-metallic Design Competition: "10 Years of the Euro”
It is reported that the European Commission had slightly changed the design of Honeycomb. In the morning when the competition was lanched 16 filled honeycombs where shown as you can see from the Before picture above. Later on another honeycombed was filled to make it 17 (= number of euro area countries)

8. Bi-metallic Quiz Game #774…by Jack Hepler, USA
Some call him "Benemérito de la Patria". There is a well-known city named for him. He was a priest and a revolutionary in the War for Independence from Spain. His military prowess was recognized by the revolution leaders and he attained the rank of Lieutenant General. He was captured by Spanish forces and executed 4 February 1814. His image may be seen on a Bi-metallic 5 Pesos dated 2008. Name this Mexican patriot.

Answer to Bi-metallic Quiz Game question #773

He was an anarchist and found himself being put in prison several times for his inflammatory writings including Tierra y Libertad. His final sentence placed him in the US Federal Prison at Leavenworth due to his writings against World War I. He was charged with sedition and imprisoned under the US Espionage Act. He died in the Penitentiary four years later of natural causes. His image may be seen on a Bi-metallic 5 Pesos dated 2008. Name this Mexican patriot.
