4. Bi-metallic Quiz Game #776…by Jack Hepler, USA
There are cities in the states of Chihuahua, Guerrero, Nuevo Leon and Puebla named after this man. Two vessels of the Mexican Navy are named after him. According to all accounts, he was descended from an English sailor who shipwrecked south of Acapulco. When Jose Maria Morelos hears about his death in 1813, he exclaims: “I have lost both my arms: now I am nothing!” His image may be seen on a Bi-metallic 5 Pesos dated 2008. Name this Mexican patriot.

In 1861, he founded a newspaper, El diario del hogar, in which he freely expressed his opinions and feelings. His writing kept him at odds with the power structure and he was imprisoned for his position. He died in 1911, believed to be from illness acquired during his time in prison.
