2. Bi-metallic 5 Dollar 2011 from Singapore…..by Max Aiello, Italy
I have received from Singapore Mint:
The Singapore Mint has been awarded the "Most Technologically Advanced Circulating Coin”. We are proud to announce that The Singapore Mint has been awarded the "Most Technologically Advanced Circulating Coin" in the Mint Director Conference (MDC) 2012 Coin Competition.
The winning entry “2011 Scallop-shaped Bi-metallic $5 Circulation Coin” has incorporated a latent image technology, where by the angle from which you peer at the obverse determines whether you will see “2011” or “MAS”.
The XXVII Mint Director Conference has been hosted in Vienna by Austrian Mint from 6th till 12th of May, 2012.

4. Bi-metallic 10 Rupees 2012 from India...by Pabitra Saha, India
India will hold a special session of Parliament on Sunday (13th May 2012) to celebrate 60th Anniv of its Parliament. The President will release coins of Rupees 5 and 10 on this day.
Since the 10 Rupees is a Bi-metallic coin and commem Bi-metallics are not often issued by India, it will be relatively rare coin.

The 2010 Bi-metallic 5 Euro of Finland Proper features the Coat of Arms on one side. Shown on the other side is a national treasure used in the 19th century. This was used at biblical study gatherings in the Hujala village of the Rusko parish. These study gatherings were known as kinkerit, the equivalent of the modern confirmation class an established practice in Finland with the enforcement of the 1686 Church Law.
