2. Bi-metallic 2 Litai 2013 from Lithuania……..by Pabitra Saha, UK
Lithuania will issue Bi-metallic coins in resort series for 2013.
The series continues with four new Bi-metallic on four other resorts which are Kuzenas, Stelmuzes Azuolas, Verpste and Puntukas.
Denomination 2 litas
Mintage 100,000 pcs of each coin and 4,000 pcs of proof
quality (mirror surface, mat relief) of each coin to be issued in the
fourth quarter 2013.
In addition, the commem bimetallic programme for 2014 states
Metal: ring Cu/Al/Ni alloy, the middle part Cu/Ni alloy
Diameter 25.00 mm,
Weight 7.50 g
Mintage: proof 4,000 pieces; unc 100,000 pieces
To be issued in the fourth quarter of 2014
* The coins will not be minted under the resolution of Council
of the European Union
Japan has released the design for next 4 perfectures in their Bi-metallic 500 Yen 2013 perfecture series. Japan prefectures: Kagoshima, Okayama, Shizuoka and Yamanashi
