Finland has announced the theme of the two Bi-metallic 2 Euro commemorative coins dated 2013.
The first one commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Parliament (1863-2013), when the sessions of the Parliament

along with the Swedish administration and judicial life.

He was born in a village in northern Finland from a family of farmers. Despite this, he still managed to attend high school
in Tampere and then to join the faculty of natural sciences at the University of Helsinki. In 1913 he returned to his native
village where he devoted himself fully to literature.
His most famous novel, Hurskas kurjuus ("Santa misery", 1919), where we can see the influence if not the troubles arising
from the events of 1917-18. The international fame came from Nuorena nukkunut ("Sleeping Beauty as a young man" or
"Silja", 1931), followed by Miehen tie ("The Road Man"-1932).
Doctor honoris causa in 1936, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1939. Its popularity was continued from
the collection of short stories Poika eli ëlämänsää ("The child has lived his life," 1950). He was named the asteroid 1446
Sillanpää, discovered by the astronomer and physicist Finnish Yrjö Väisälä.
