2. Bi-metallic 3 Euro 2014 from Slovenia......by Pabitra Saha, UK
Slovenia Bi-metallic 3 Euro 2014 on photography pioneer Janez Puhar will be issued this year

3. Bi-metallic 2 and 5 Pule 2014 from Botswana....by Pabitra Saha, UK
Botswana will issue new coins in first quarter of 2014.
5 Pula which is Bi-metallic will be replaced by a new Bi-metallic coin.
2 Pula will also become Bi-metallic.
"According to the Government Gazette, most features of the new coins will largely remain unchanged for the current seven
denominations in circulation, except for the P2 coin. The new P2 coin will have a brown centre piece along a white outer ring.
On the other hand, the five thebe coin will change from copper to silver. The obverse face of all the new coins will maintain the
Botswana coat of arms. On the reverse side, some coins will maintain current inscriptions while trees and birds will be added
to the zebra on the P1 coin. Sorghum heads will be added to the rhino on the reverse side of the P2 coin

Austria has issued a series of Bi-metallic 25 Euro coins with a core of Niobium. 
Niobium metal exhibits a rather novel characteristic that allows oxidation in predictable colors. 
Austria has utilized this characteristic to produce colored Euro coins since 2003.
There have been three issues using the same color.  Name the color and the years of issue.

Answer to Super Quiz #33

Eight “Bundesländer Series” Bi-metallic 2 Euro coin designs have been issued by Germany thus far. 
Each coin features a landmark.  Which two landmarks (of the eight) are the closest to each other?

The two closest landmarks are the Holston Gate in Lubeck, Scheswig-Holstein and the Schweriner Schloss in Mecklenburg-Volpommern. 
They are located only about 60 km from each other.
