Bi-metallic 2 Euro Edges overview...by Martin Peeters, The Netherlands To tell an "A edge" from a "B edge" : look at the edge of the Bi-metallic 2 Euro with its national or commemorative side up and the common side (which bears the inscription "2 euro") down. The general principle is that if on the right of an upright "2" there is a star with 2 points facing down it is a "A edge" type of coin, otherwise it is a "B" type of coin. Niobium metal exhibits a rather novel characteristic that allows oxidation in predictable colors. Austria has utilized this characteristic to produce colored Euro coins since 2003. There have been three issues using the same color. Name the color and the years of issue.
