PNCs are a fairly recent
product, produced by the Post Office inconjunction with the local Mints.
They have used First Day Covers and other Commemorative Covers and
added a coin to produce an item that can be marketed to both Stamp and
Coin collectors.

Living Legends Sir Donald Bradman.
The first and so far, only Australian PNC with a bimetallic coin is the
1997 Living Legends cover of Sir Donald Bradman.
The bimetallic $5 of Sir Donald Bradman was first issued in 1996.
